History

The school was established in 1933.[2] The Junior College was set up in 1990 with a single academic department and started offering Life Culture.[2]

At first this junior college was called Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 293: attempt to index local 'data_module' (a boolean value)..[1]

In 1994, an academic course was set up. Two majors were set up at same time. It originally took only female students. It began accepting male students in all departments in 1997. In 1998 another major course was added. The three majors courses accepted students until April 2008. In 2009 the junior college name was changed to Biwako-Gakuin College.
