DescriptionChinese Calendar(Daoguang 15).jpg
English: A page of the Chinese calendar. The calendar is divided into three years(Daoguang 14-16, corresponding to 1834-1836 CE) from top to bottom. The rightmost column contains the year containing both the regnal year and the sexagenary year. To the left of it, there are four or five large characters at the top of each column, giving the name of the month, its length, and the Heavenly Stem of the first day of the month. Below them are three smaller horizontally arranged characters giving the Earthly Branches of the 1st, 11th and 21st days of the month(combined with the character above them, this gives the sexagenary day of those three days). Below these characters are the dates of solar terms of that month, given both in the conventional style within the month and in the sexagenary day, followed by the time of that solar term in double hours, 15-minute ke and minutes.
