Deutsch: Das Wappen ist ein Hinweis auf den Stadtgründer Graf Emich IV. von Leiningen-Landeck (ca. 1260) welcher das Wappen der Grafschaft Dagsburg (Schwarzer Löwe in rotbordiertem silbernem Schild) führte. Der Reichsadler auf dem Schild des Adlers ist ein Hinweis auf die 1291 erlangte Reichsfreiheit und bezieht sich auf ein seit 1413 geführtes Sekretssiegel. |
