- Emmanuel Pelaez's hometown of Cagayan de Misamis was previously a part of Misamis Oriental, became an independent city, due to the law that was passed that he authored. Here, Misamis Oriental has a lighter shade.
- Estrada was born in Manila, which is an independent city when he was born, but was most well known as the mayor of San Juan. During the time of Estrada's mayorship, it was under the province of Rizal from 1969 to 1975, and is an independent municipality within from 1975 to 1986.
