Español: Reconstrucción artística del vegetal Horneophyton lignieri a partir de sus restos descritos a partir de los fósiles del yacimiento de Rhynie Chert. Se ha representado con una altura aproximada de 12 centímetros y un grosor en los tallos de unos 2 milímetros. Los bulbos tenían una anchura variable alrededor de los 4 milímetros. Los esporangios terminales se han representado siguiendo las descripciones y evitando la simplificación que usualmente se hace de ellos en otras ilustraciones, así estos esporangioss aparecen con un menor tamaño y mayor complejidad. English: Artistic reconstruction of the plant Horneophyton lignieri from fossils described from Rhynie Chert paleontological site. It has been represented with an approximate height of 12 centimeters and a stem width of about 2 millimeters. The bulbs have a variable width about 4 millimeters. The terminal sporangia are shown following the descriptions and avoiding the simplification shown in other artworks, so these sporangia appear here with a smaller size and greater complexity. |
