English: This seal was documented as the official state seal of the Joseon Dynasty during the reign of King Yeongjo and King Gojong. The seal reads from the top-down right-to-left, "朝鮮王寶", which can be translated directly to "Joseon Dynasty King's Treasure," or more liberally to "Royal Treasure of the Joseon King." 한국어: 조선에서 명나라와의 책봉 관계 이전에 제작하여 약 10년간 사용한 국새로써 이후 영조가 교명과 왕후, 왕세자의 책례에 사용하기 위해 모방하여 주조한 이후, 1876년(고종 13) 12월 다시 한 번 개주하였다. |
