Herkunft: Mariahof Beschreibung: Diese Tafelbild aus der ersten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts zeigt das Rosenwunder der Hl. Elisabeth von Thüringen. Sie wird von ihrem Mann, dem Landgrafen Ludwig von Thüringen, ertappt, als sie zur Zeit einer Hungersnot Lebensmittel an Arme verteilen wollte. Doch als ihr Mann die dafür in ihrer Schürze verborgenen Sachen sehen will, haben sich diese in Rosen verwandelt. |
