Description
English: Churche Saint Justina of Padua in Italy. Chapel of Luke the Evangelist. Work of the Pisano-Venetian school of 1313, commissioned by the Abbot Gualpertino Mussato and originally erected in the old Gothic chapel in 1562. The monument is made of serpentine and marble of Verona. It is enriched with eight alabaster panels carved in bas-relief depicting angels and symbols related to the saint. The whole rests on two granite columns, two alabaster spiral columns and the center is placed on a support in Greek marble, representing caryatid angels, supporting the whole.
Français : Basilica di Santa Giustina à Padoue Italie. Chapelle de Saint Luc. Travail de l'école pisano-vénitienne de 1313, commandé par l'abbé Gualpertino Mussato et initialement érigé dans l'ancienne chapelle gothique en 1562. Le monument est fait en serpentine et marbre de Vérone. Il est enrichi de huit panneaux d’albâtre sculpté en bas-relief représentant des anges et des symboles liés au saint. L’ensemble repose sur deux colonnes en granit, deux colonnes en spirale d'albâtre et le centre est placé sur un support en marbre grec, représentant des anges en cariatides, soutenant l’ensemble.
Italiano: Basilica di Santa Giustina Padova italia. Cappella di Luca evangelista. Opera di la cuola pisano-veneta del 1313, commissionata dall'abate Gualpertino Mussato e qui trasportata dalla vecchia cappella gotica nel 1562: l'arca è composta in marmo serpentino e marmo veronese ed è arricchita da otto riquadri in alabastro scolpiti ad altorilievo raffiguranti angeli e simbologie legate al santo, pure raffigurato intento alla scrittura. Il tutto poggia su due colonne di granito e due colonne tortili d'alabastro mentre al centro è posto un sostegno in marmo greco, raffigurante angeli che come cariatidi, supportano l'arca.
