English: WW2 Photo taken on 8 May 2019 at Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway. The museum exhibits uniforms, militaria, memorabilia, smaller items, etc. from World War II and German-occupied Norway 1940–1945:
  • Uniform jacket of a (Wehrmacht Heer) front gendarm, the military police of the army of Nazi Germany:
    • Open lapel cut, single-breasted tunic with front closure and two side pockets, two box-pleated patch breast pockets with stylised (scalloped) button-down flaps
    • Police rank insignia of a Meister, Polizeimeister on the shoulder-straps/shoulder boards (Schulterklappen/Schulterstücke)
    • Collar tabs (German: Kragenspiegel or Kragenpatten) bearing a pair of Litzen (Doppellitze "double braid") for officers and a NCO braid (Unteroffizierslitze, Kragenlitze – the badge of rank of all German NCO ranks) encircling the collar
    • Orange-yellow corps colour (Waffenfarbe) of the German Army indicatig "military police"
    • Breast eagle (Brustadler), a cloth patch worn above the right breast pocket, showing the German imperial eagle national eagle (Reichsadler, Hoheitszeichen, Hoheitsadler) in the form of a Nazi version Art Deco stylised "eagle-and-swastika"
    • Cuff title (Ärmelstreife) with the text Deutsche Wehrmacht
    • The distinctive German MP gorget (Kragenspiegel, Brustschild) with the text Feldgendarmerie
  • German stick hand grenade
  • A torn Nazi Party (NSDAP) swastika armband (Hakenkreuzbinde) showing the rank insignia of a Gauleiter (district leader) according to the "armband system"
