Deutsch: Das Wappen ist von einem Dorfgerichtssiegel des 17. Jahrhunderts abgeleitet. Der Ort wird erstmals 816 urkundlich erwähnt. Der Ortsname leitet sich von der gleichnamigen Burg auf dem Herrenberg ab. Sie war Stammsitz des Namen tragenden Adelsgeschlechts, das erstmals 1091 belegt ist und seit 1205 den Grafentitel führt. An diese bedeutende Familie, die auch die Ortsherrschaft in Castell innehatte, erinnert das Familien-Stammwappen, die Vierung von Rot und Silber. Die Burg steht redend für den Ortsnamen, der befestigtes Gebäude oder Kastell bedeutet. |
