Object history Die Pfarrkirche von Ehingen ist eine Wehrkirche und gilt als das Wahrzeichen des Ortes. Seit der Reformation war der Ort geteilt: Etwa die Hälfte des Dorfes gehörte der protestantischen Linie des Hauses Oettingen und nahm deshalb den neuen Glauben an. Seitdem ist die Pfarrkirche von Ehingen eine Simultankirche. In ihrem Kirchenschiff aus dem 13. Jahrhundert befinden sich neben dem Hochaltar noch zwei kleinere Altäre für den katholischen und ein vierter für den evangelischen Gottesdienst. Der romanische Kirchturm stammt aus der Zeit um 1200. Die Kirche ist von einer Mauer umgeben, die noch Reste eines Wehrgangs und Schießscharten aufweist.
