Rückseite: SPONSOR ET HOSPES - XXV JAN MDCCCXLII. Der gekrönte preußische Adlerschild zwischen den gekrönten Schilden von Großbritannien und dem des Prinzen von Wales (Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha). Auf dem Spruchband dessen Wahlspruch ICH - DIEN.

Kommentar: Friedrich Wilhelm IV. besuchte England Anfang 1842. Die englische Königin Victoria wünschte die Teilnahme des Königs an der Taufe Ihres am 9. November 1841 geborenen Sohnes Albert Eduard, des späteren Königs Eduard VII. Die Medaille wurde in verschiedenen Metallen auf die Annahme der Patenschaft durch den preußischen König geprägt.
