Franklin Gothic

The Franklin Gothic typeface

Franklin Gothic is a group of sans serif typefaces. The fonts were offered by the company American Type Founders (ATF). The font was created by their head designer Morris Fuller Benton.[1]

Franklin Gothic has been used in many advertisements and newspaper headlines. The font is still popular. It appears in mass media, books and billboards.

Probably the best known version of Franklin Gothic is the 1970s ITC Franklin Gothic. This includes features similar to Benton's Franklin Gothic.[2]
