Józef Czapski (April 3, 1896 – January 12, 1993) was a Polish artist, author, and critic. He was an officer of the Polish Army during World War II.

Czapski was known for many things. As a painter, he is known for his work in the Kapist movement. He is mostly known for being the founder of Kultura monthly. It is one of the most important monthly journals in Poland during the 20th century.

Czapski was born in Prague.[1] He studied at the University of Saint Petersburg. Czapski died on January 12, 1993 in Warsaw from natural causes, aged 96.
