John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon

John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon, (5 November 1931 – 5 June 2023) was a British politician. He was a moderate[1] Labour Member of Parliament (MP) from 1959 to 2001 and Secretary of State for Wales from 1974 to 1979. Morris was born in Capel Bangor, Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire. He worked in the cabinets of Harold Wilson, James Callaghan and Tony Blair. He also worked in the shadow cabinets of Michael Foot and Neil Kinnock.

Morris died on 5 June 2023 at the age of 91.[2]
