Les Munro

Squadron Leader John Leslie (Les) Munro CNZM, DSO, QSO, DFC, JP (born 5 April 1919[1] – 4 August 2015)[2] was the last surviving pilot of the Dambusters Raid of May 1943.[3]

Munro was born in Gisborne, New Zealand. He died on 4 August 2015 in Tauranga, New Zealand at the age of 96.[2]
