Manipur Polo International 2013

Manipur Polo International 2013 or 7th Manipur International Polo Tournament is a Polo Tournament that was held in Imphal, Manipur. It was organised in Mapal Kangjeibung (Imphal Polo Ground), the oldest polo ground in the world.[1] India-B team (Manipur team) won the trophy after defeating United States by 5-3 goals.[2][3] This is the seventh consecutive title triumph of Manipur team (India-B team) in the tournament.[4]

Before the final match began, 3 Manipuri players and 11 foreign players formed 2 teams, namely Thangjing Pana (English: Thangjing's team) and Marjing Pana (English: Marjing's team) for an exhibition match of the traditional Manipuri Polo (Sagol Kangjei). All the players wore traditional Manipuri polo uniforms, including Pheijom, Reson Phurit and Kokyet.[5]
