Marshall Field

Marshall Field (August 18, 1834 – January 16, 1906) was an American businessman. He was the founder of Marshall Field and Company, the Chicago-based department stores.

Field was born on August 18, 1834 in Conway, Franklin County, Massachusetts.[1] He was married two times. Field had two children. He died on January 16, 1906 in New York City, New York from pneumonia, aged 71. He was buried in Graceland Cemetery in Uptown, Chicago.
