Martin Ritt

Martin Ritt (March 2, 1914 – December 8, 1990) was an American movie director and actor. He worked in both movies and theater. He directed many movies including The Long, Hot Summer (1958), Norma Rae (1979) and Stanley & Iris (1990).

Ritt was born in New York City. He died from heart disease in Santa Monica, California.[1]
