Minute Alapati Taupo OBE (1 February 1962 – 23 May 2022) was a Tuvaluan politician, economist and accountant. Taupo was elected to the Parliament of Tuvalu in 2019.[1] He was nominated as Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Fisheries and Trade that same year. Before, he was the Ambassador to Taiwan from 2013 until 2017.

Taupo died on 23 May 2022 from a heart attack while giving a speech in Nui, Tuvalu at the age of 60.[2]
