Roanoke people

The Roanoke people were a group of Native Americans who lived in North Carolina. Their population was between 5,000 and 10,000. Their capital was possibly Dasamonguepeuk.[1] The English met them on Roanoke Island, where the English would later create Roanoke Colony.
