Tony Stark, known as Iron Man, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is based on the character of the same name. He is portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

Stark is a weapon manufacturer until he discovers that terrorists use weapons to harm innocent people. Then he decides to stop the production of weapons. He builds and wears a technological suit to fight criminals. He's the main character of the Iron Man movies, one of the main characters of the Avengers movies, a character in Captain America: Civil War, and a supporting character in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

As of 2020, Stark is one of the main figures of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having appeared in 10 movies. The character and Downey's performance are always credited for the success of the franchise. Many call Stark the best character of the series and the thing that keeps everything together.

Personality

Tony is a genius and a philanthropist. He's good-hearted and also eccentric, wisecracking, sarcastic, exuberant, rational and optimistic. He's also very charismatic and friendly as he's able to make friends in a short period of time.
