Typhoon Hagupit (called Typhoon Ruby in the Philippines) was a strong tropical cyclone in the western Pacific Ocean. The storm headed towards the Philippines.

Storm warnings and notices were up for the Philippines because of this typhoon.

Hagupit became a tropical storm on December 1, 2014. It became a typhoon the next day.
