Deutsch: In der vorderen Schildhälfte steht das Wappen der Marschalken von Kunstadt, die 1203 erstmals erwähnt werden und 1728 ausgestorben sind. Sie sind wohl identisch mit dem seit 1059 nachweisbaren Ministerialengeschlecht der Cunstat, die über viele Jahrhunderte in Altenkunstadt begütert waren. Kelch und Abtstab stammen aus dem Wappen des Zisterzienserklosters Langheim, das von 1336 bis zur Säkularisation im Gemeindegebiet reich begütert war und das Patronatsrecht in Altenkunstadt inne hatte. |
