Deutsch: Das Blatt einer Schäferschippe soll an die früher im Gemeindegebiet sehr verbreitete Schafzucht erinnern, während das Rad als Symbol des Verkehrs auf den nach dem Bau der Bahnlinie in deren Bereich entstandenen Ortsteil hinweisen soll, der heute den Mittelpunkt des Gemeinwesens bildet. Die Wappenfarben Schwarz und Silber sind die der Stadt Ulm, zu deren Territorium seit dem 14. beziehungsweise 15. Jahrhundert alle Ortsteile der Gemeinde Amstetten gehört haben. Das Innenministerium hat das Wappen und die Flagge am 7. März 1958 verliehen. |
