Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen des Landkreises Rosenheim wurde am 14. Mai 1976 von der Regierung Oberbayern verliehen. Die bayerischen Rauten sind die Symbole der ältesten wittelsbachischen Besitzungen an der mittleren Mangfall und wurden von den Wappen des Landkreises Bad Aibling und frühren Landkreises Rosenheim (ebenso die Seebläter) übernommen. Der Löwe stammt aus dem Wasserburger Landkreis und wird dem Grafen von Wasserburg zugeschrieben.
English: The arms were officially granted on May 14, 1976. They combine the symbols of the former districts, the lozengy parts are derived from the former Rosenheim (also water lily leaves) und Bad Aibling district and the lion of the Wasserburg district.
