| Blazon | Deutsch: „In rotem Feld auf grünem Boden ein silbernes (weißes) Gotteslamm, das eine silberne (weiße) Fahne mit rotem Kreuz trägt, links hinter dem Lamm eine grüne staudenartige Pflanze.“
Ochtrup führte seit dem 17. Jahrhundert das Gotteslamm im Siegel, welches der Innenminister des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen kurz nach der Stadtwerdung (1949) im Jahre 1950 als Wappen genehmigte. English: „Gules, above a terrace in base vert the symbol of Agnus Dei, a lamb Argent with a bendy sinister crossed gules flag Argent, on the left a plant vert.“
The arms were granted on April 26, 1950 after the town had received city rights in 1949. The arms are based on a 17th century seal with the Agnus Dei. Nederlands: niet gespecificeerd |
