English: The Lion Gate at Bogazkale,

Turkey. This was one of the two city gates. The arc is typical for Hittite architecure. Photo taken during our holidays in Turkey on July 7, 2001. As of June 2012, the head of the

lion standing on the outer left side of the gate has been restored.
