Français : Table ronde dite du roi Arthur, Grand Hall de Winchester (Royaume-Uni). La table ronde du roi Arthur, table de bois suspendue dans le Grand Hall depuis 1348. Datant du XIIIe ou bien du début du XIVe siècle, elle n'a été peinte qu'en 1522 sous les ordres du roi Henri VIII d'Angleterre. Les places à la table sont divisées avec une alternance de vert et de blanc, le nom de chacun des 24 chevaliers étant inscrit en lettres d'or. Le visage du roi n'est pas celui d'Arthur mais celui d'Henry VIII et la rose des Tudors est également présente. |
