A Link to the Past

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:UserLinks/shared' not found. I just wanted to see how well I am doing on this Wiki. A Link to the Past (talk) 05:36, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

  • You're doing good, creating a lot of stubs, which motivates me to expand them (as such done with Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3). You jumped the gun a bit with the WikiProject banners, but that aws okay. I think you should expand the stubs a little bit more though, include some basic information, but for now I have no problems expanding them on my own. Cassandra 05:39, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
    • The reason I spend little time on expanding newly created articles is that I know there are many people working on such, but less people are making new articles. I merely want to create more options for people to expand articles. I also want to cover a wider variety of subjects, ranging from films to real-life people, events, and locations. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:51, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Okay. Looking through all of your contributions, I see nothing to worry about. You seem to be very dedicated in video game-related articles. But like what Cassandra said above, you don't do much of expanding articles, but you do a lot a lot of article creating. There's nothing wrong with that, but I do suggest that you expand more articles then just creating them and leaving the expanding to others. I bet someone like you could get an article up to WP:GA with your experience. Try doing that first. Get an article topic you know very well about, expand it, look through other websites for more information and references, and you'll promote an article to GA in no time. I would also recommend you start participating in more WP:RFD. I see you have nominated a few, which is good, but try doing some !voting also. Oh, and sometimes, it is a good idea to talk about an article on it's talk page. You only have 2 edits in the talk namespace, try discussing an article there. It could really help you if you discuss something about the article that needs improving. There are a few other things I would like you to improve. Now, do you know how to perform reverts? If so, it would be a good idea to watchlist a few of your favorite articles and watch recent changes for any vandalism. We always like to see some vandal-fighters around. One more thing. I don't see you very active, in other words, I don't see you edit a lot. Try to edit articles more often. If thats just impossible because of real life events, then that's fine, but try to be online more often on the Simple English Wikipedia. Well, that's just about it. So overall, you've done great so far. Over 70% of your edits are to the mainspace, you create articles, just try to expand more articles, and even up your edits in each category. Try creating an article or expanding an article to promote to WP:GA. And if you can, promote one up to WP:VGA. Well, thank you for asking me to review you, and if you need any help at all, my talk page is always open and I'm active basically everyday. Thanks, RyanCross (talk) 02:35, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Wow I see that 85% of you edits are to articles (mainspace). I don't have much time for a long reveiw, but just a few things: keep active; don't get into hot water (but don't leave discussion); and be helpful, by commenting, helping somebody out, or just understanding. Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    Creating new articles.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Not a significant conflict, but I got into a minor one over the List of Pokémon items article and redirecting it, citing that it was essentially a game guide, which resulted in an administrator referring to my edits as vandalism, which I didn't take a liking to.
