Şeyda Yılmaz (b. July 31, 1997 Sivas) Martyr Police Officer
A ceremony was held at the Istanbul Police Department for 27-year-old police officer Şeyda Yılmaz, who was martyred during an operation in Ümraniye. Yılmaz's funeral will be held in Sivas. She was apprehended by the Ümraniye District Police Department's Dudullu Police Station for the crime of "motorcycle theft" and later escaped.An operation was conducted to apprehend the suspect. Yunus Emre Geçit, who had 26 criminal records for various offenses, was apprehended by police in the Ihlamurkuyu neighborhood. Geçit resisted the police. In the ensuing scuffle, the attacker seized the officer's gun and opened fire on the officers and bystanders. Police officer Şeyda Yılmaz was martyred as a result of Yunus Emre Geçit's fire; police officer Kürşat Hakkı Sarıtepe and the suspect's mother, P.G., were injured. The injured were taken to a hospital by paramedics for treatment.[1]

Wounded by the suspect's gunfire, 27-year-old police officer Şeyda Yılmaz became a martyr despite all interventions at the hospital.
An indictment has been prepared against three police officers, charging them with "abuse of office" as part of the investigation into the killing of police officer Şeyda Yılmaz in Ümraniye. The officers face prison sentences ranging from six months to two years.[2]
Two suspects were detained in an operation conducted as part of the investigation into the killing of police officer Şeyda Yılmaz in Ümraniye. An arrest warrant was issued for Nuradin Rustamov, who was also detained in Georgia and later released on probation.

The ceremony was held
A ceremony was held at the Istanbul Police Department for martyred police officer Şeyda Yılmaz. Istanbul Police Chief Zafer Aktaş delivered a speech at the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Yılmaz's body was sent to Atatürk Airport for transfer to Sivas. Following afternoon prayers at the Crescent and Star Mosque, he will be buried at the Yukarı Tekke Police Cemetery.
An official ceremony was held for Şeyda Yılmaz at the Istanbul Police Department.
Yılmaz's husband, a Police officer, was also present.
