2016–17 South America floods

Heavy rain caused flooding in Ecuador and Peru from December 2016 to May 2017. It killed 113 people and left 18 people missing. Many roads were destroyed. Dramatic rescues went online, including a woman being rescued from a mudslide[1] and another showing a mudslide hitting a village.[2]
