2021 San Jose shooting
On May 26, 2021, a mass shooting took place at a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) rail yard in San Jose, California, United States. Ten people were killed, including the gunman, 57-year-old VTA employee Samuel James Cassidy, who shot and killed himself.[1][3][4][5][6]

In total, there were 10 deaths caused by the gunman. The gunman would be confirmed to be dead towards the end of the shooting, after 9 others had died.[7]
