26858 Misterrogers
26858 Misterrogers, provisional designation 1993 FR, is a Mars crossing asteroid. It is named after children's television host Fred Rogers.
Rogers, who had a lifelong passion with the sky and astronomy, got a pilot's license while still in high school.[1] He also produced with the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh a planetarium show called The Sky above Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.[2] This is still shown at many planetariums in the United States.[3]
