History

The club was founded in 1913 . He first participated in the Italian national championship in the 1919/20 season. The club remained in the top Italian league for the next eight years. After the 1928/29 season, Legnano was relegated to the newly formed Serie B. The 1934/35 season saw the first low point in the club's history with relegation to the third-tier Serie C. After the end of the Second World War, the club was classified by the Italian federation in the second highest division.

In the 1950/51 season, Legnano achieved direct promotion to Serie A by finishing second in Serie B. However, in the 1951/52 season, Legnano finished last. The following year, the team once again managed promotion to Serie A, but was immediately relegated again in 1953/54. Legnano never recovered from their drop to the third-tier Serie C in 1957 and remained there for many years. The 1974/75 season marked one of the lowest points in the club's history. Finishing last in the Girone A, the club was relegated from professional football for the first time and subsequently had to compete in Serie D.

The 1980s and 90s in Legnano were marked by promotions and relegations between the third and fifth tiers. The club spent five seasons in the top amateur league. In 2000, they returned to professional football, winning the Girone B and being promoted to the fourth-tier Serie C2. After seven years in the top flight, the team achieved promotion to the third-tier Serie C1 for the 2007/08 season. However, a disappointing 18th-place finish in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione in the 2008/09 season resulted in relegation back to the fourth tier. On July 16, 2010, the club was expelled from the league by the federation and is now relegated to the amateur leagues.
