A Farewell to Arms is a 1957 World War I romantic drama movie. It was directed by Charles Vidor. The movie is based on novel of the same name by Ernest Hemmingway. It is a remake of the 1932 movie of the same name. It stars Rock Hudson, Jennifer Jones, Vittorio De Sica, and Elaine Stritch. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox. The movie was nominated for an Academy Award in 1958.
