Ahmed Zaki Yamani

Ahmed Zaki Yamani (Arabic: أحمد زكي يماني; 30 June 1930 – 23 February 2021) was a Saudi politician and long-serving oil minister. He served as the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia from 1962 to 1986.

As the public face of Saudi oil policy during a critical period, Yamani played a key role in the development of OPEC and global energy politics in the 1970s and 1980s.

He died on 23 February 2021 in London at the age of 90.[1]
