Alfred Kleinschwarzer

Alfred Kleinschwärzer (born March 23, 1960, in Rosenheim, Germany) is a German martial artist, former police officer, and security trainer. He serves as president of the Federal Association for Security and Self-Defense (BfSD e.V.), an organization focused on training standards in the fields of security and self-defense. Over his career, he has held positions in law enforcement, international security, and martial arts instruction. He holds a 10th Dan in Seiwakan and has achieved multiple kickboxing titles. Early Life and Education

Kleinschwärzer was born and raised in Rosenheim, Bavaria. He began practicing martial arts as a child, starting with judo in 1973. In the years that followed, he also trained in karate (1974), taekwondo (1976), and kun-tai-ko (1977), forming the foundation for his later work in instruction and self-defense. In 1979, Kleinschwärzer joined the Federal Border Guard, which later became the Federal Police. He served in various roles over a career spanning four decades.

In 1990, he completed specialized training through institutions such as the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the Federal Foreign Office (AA), and the GSG 9 unit. These qualifications enabled him to take on diplomatic security assignments. His first foreign posting was in 1992 as Chief of Security at the German Embassy in Dublin. Further postings included assignments at German embassies in Beijing (1993), Ankara (1999), and Prague (2008).

Kleinschwärzer also worked with international organizations, including a role with the United Nations in Kosovo. From 2004 to 2005, he was responsible for police defense tactics training at the Kosovo Police Service School in Vushtrri.

In 2010, he participated in the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia as a patrol team leader. Additionally, he held instructional positions within Germany, including roles at the Federal Police Academy in Lübeck and later as head of the Police Training Center at the Federal Police Directorate in Munich.

He retired from public service on July 31, 2021, and has since worked as a private sector consultant and trainer in the security field. [33] [34] [35] [36] [37] [38]

Kleinschwärzer holds a 10th Dan rank in Seiwakan and has competed in and won several martial arts competitions. His achievements include:

· Kickboxing World Champion

· Five-time winner at the World Martial Arts Games

· European Kickboxing Champion

Kleinschwärzer is the founding president of the Federal Association for Security and Self-Defense (BfSD e.V.), which works to promote professional training standards in the security sector. The association collaborates with schools, municipalities, and private entities to implement training and awareness programs.

He is also involved with Seiwakan-Budo e.V. and the Kun-Tai-Ko International Association of Budo (KIAB), contributing to the development of training materials and certification processes.
