Alfred Macalik

Alfred (Alfréd) Macalik (10 September 1888 in Vienna - 20 September 1979 in Oradea) was an Austrian-Romanian landscape painter, sculptor and composer.

Life

At the suggestion of his former art teacher, Szőke Gyula, he studied art at the art university in Craiova (1910-1911). Later Macalik studied at the art university in Budapest (1914-1918). Macalik influenced the cultural life in Oradea.
