Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium is an American football stadium located in Paradise, Nevada that serves as the home for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) and the UNLV Rebels football team. The venue is nicknamed the Death Star from Star Wars.
They first started to build the stadium on November 13, 2017.[1] The stadium was first supposed to hold a Garth Brooks concert but it was pushed back because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[2] The Raiders first started playing in the stadium on September 21, 2020. In their first game, they defeated the New Orleans Saints 34–24 in a Monday Night Football game.[3]
On August 5, 2019, sponsorship naming rights were sold to Allegiant Air, and the stadium was renamed to Allegiant Stadium. The naming rights will last for 30 years.[4]
Events
The stadium hosted Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024.
On August 21, 2021, WWE hosted their SummerSlam event at the stadium.[5]
