History
Alphabet was founded as a Google parent holding company on August 10, 2015.[5] It included 9 businesses.[6][7][8]
On December 3, 2019, the Google CEO Sundar Pichai became the Alphabet CEO too.[9]
That year the company was ranked #15 on the Fortune 500 list of global US corporations by revenue.[10]
In 2020, Alphabet net income was $40,269 million.
On January 16, 2020, Alphabet reached a $1 trillion market value.[11]
Critics
In October 2020, the United States Government Department of Justice filed a Anti-Trust Lawsuit against Alphabet Inc over Googles monopoly on Search.
