American Descendants of Slavery
American Descendants of Slavery, abbreviated as ADOS, refers to an ethnic and racial group composed of people whose ancestors were taken by force from sub-Saharan Africa to the United States starting from the 16th century until the 19th century and forced to work as slaves under threat of violence, including rape, torture and murder.[1]
