Americium dioxide

Americium dioxide is a black compound made with Americium. As a solid, AmO2 has the same structure as fluorite (CaF2).

Uses

Americium-Aluminium alloys are made when americium dioxide is melted and mixed with aluminium and a fluxing agent.[1] These alloys can be used to make atoms of some elements. These elements have a higher atomic number than Uranium.[2]
