Ammerthal
Ammerthal is a municipality of the district Amberg-Sulzbach in Bavaria in Germany. As of 31 December 2018, 2,091 people lived there. The mayor is currently Alexandra Sitter. Ammerthal is located in the northern Upper Palatinate region, on the eastern slope of the Franconian Jura mountains. It is seven kilometers west of the city of Amberg, at the source of the Ammerbach stream, where the Girgl, Pürschläger, and Götzendorf valleys begin.
