And Quiet Flows the Don (Russian: Тихий Дон) is a 1931 Soviet drama movie directed by Ivan Pravov and Olga Preobrazhenskaya.[1][2] The movie is an adaptation of the first two books of the eponymous novel by Mikhail Sholokhov. It stars Nikolay Podgorny, Andrei Abrikosov, and Emma Tsesarskaya.
