Andrea Levy
Andrea Levy (7 March 1956 – 14 February 2019)[1][2] was an English novelist. She was born in London to Jamaican parents. Levy's novels related to British Jamaicans and how they negotiate racial, cultural and national identities.[3][4] Her best known works were Small Island (2004) and The Long Song (2010). Levy won the Orange Prize for Fiction, Whitbread Book of the Year and Commonwealth Writers Prize.
Levy died on 14 February 2019 in London from breast cancer at the age of 62.[5]
