Auerbach in der Oberpfalz (German pronunciation: [ˈaʊɐbax ɪn dɐ ˈoːbɐpfalts] (
listen); Northern Bavarian: Auerboch in da Owapfalz) is a town in Amberg-Sulzbach, a district (Landkreis) in the Oberpfalz Government Region. It is located 45 kilometres (28 miles) northeast of Nuremberg.
