Austin Lane Crothers
Austin Lane Crothers was an American Democratic Party politician who served as governor of Maryland from 1908 to 1912. During Crother’s tenure, various reforms were carried out such as the establishment of a public service commission[1] and various labor laws. [2][3] According to one study, Crothers was credited “with accomplishing more in terms of Progressive legislation than any previous governor.”[4]
