Avegno, Switzerland
Avegno was a municipality of the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. On 20 April 2008, Avegno and Gordevio merged to form the new municipality of Avegno Gordevio.[1]

In 1982, the Swiss Heritage Society gave the Wakker Prize to Avegno for the saving of its historical buildings.
