Bacillus subtilis
Bacillus subtilis is an endospore-forming bacterium.
It is the source of the antibiotic bacitracin. Bacillus subtilis is a gram positive, rod-shaped bacterium. It is a facultative anaerobe commonly found in soil, and is also found in the gut flora.
